“At the age of three, I was diagnosed with a Wilms' tumour. I was given George, pictured with me here, when I was diagnosed, and after surgery to remove my kidney and chemotherapy, I was given the all-clear. 28 years later I’m here once again. I'm due to get married this year, but was diagnosed with cervical cancer. So of course, George is back to keep me company! I’ve had a loop excision to remove cancerous cells and surgery to remove some lymph nodes, and thankfully surgery is as far as my journey needs to go this time. Cancer has always been a big part of my life, as my mum has also had multiple tumours. Without Cancer Research UK, we wouldn’t both be here.” Thank you to Kathy for sharing her Cancer Right Now story with us. Tell us your experience and help us raise awareness: po.st/mNcISm
